The HRTC is a tax credit for renovation work performed on your home or cottage between January 27, 2009 and February 1, 2010. The tax credit applies to eligible renovation expenditures of $1,000 to $10,000. The maximum credit that one family can receive is $1350. A kitchen renovation (excluding appliance purchases) is eligible. If you plan on renovating your kitchen you should do it NOW.
