Terms, Conditions and Official Rules
("Contest Rules")
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
Eligibility:
You must be a legal resident of Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) and 18 years of age or older to enter this Contest ("Eligible Entrant"). LG Electronics Canada, Inc. ("LG Electronics Canada"), its employees (including their family members), sponsors, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotional agencies, and/or there assigns are not eligible. This Contest is void in Quebec or where prohibited by law. If you are a resident of the Province of Quebec you may register and play the game for personal enjoyment, but you are not eligible for prizes.
How to enter the Contest:
To enter the Contest you must first go to http://www.lg.ca/game, complete the online registration form and accept contest entry at: LG Hockey Havoc Challenge game. If you have previously registered for the LG Hockey Havoc game, there is no need to re-register. You can login and play using the same username and password. Contest Period: This Contest runs from September 25, 2006 to December 25, 2006, inclusive (the "Contest Period"). All completed entries received by 11:59pm on December 25, 2006, ("Contest Closing Date") will be entered into the Contest. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
Prizes:
Three Grand Prizes and twelve Weekly Random Draw Prizes will be awarded during the Contest. Only one prize per household is allowed. Quebec residents are not eligible for prizes. The available prizes are:
Grand Prizes: Three Grand Prizes will be available:

- The first Grand Prize winner will win a LG 50" Plasma TV, model 50PC1DR, with an approximate retail value of CDN $4,300. *
- Second Prize:
- The second Grand Prize winner will win a LG T1 Express Notebook, model T1-7001A9, with an approximate retail value of CDN $1,799. *
- Third Prize:
- The third Grand Prize winner will win a LG 20" LCD TV, model 20LC1RB, with an approximate retail value of CDN $600. *
Weekly Random Draw prizes:- Each Weekly Random Draw winner (a total of 12 winners during the contest period) will win a LG DVD Recorder, model LRA-760, with an approximate retail value of CDN $299.*

How to Win:
To select each Grand Prize winner, LG Electronics Canada will conduct a random draw at 10:00 AM, on Friday, December 29, 2006, in Mississauga, Ontario from a pool of the Eligible Entrants with the ten highest scores at the end of the Contest Period. The draw for the First Grand Prize will be made, then a draw for the Second Grand Prize, followed by a draw for the Third Grand Prize. In the event of a tie in any of the top 10 scores, all the Eligible Entrants that have tied for the top 10 scores will be included in the draw for Grand Prizes. The odds of winning a Grand Prize depend on the number of Eligible Entrants that have a score that is one of the top 10 scores at the End of the Contest Period.To select each Weekly Random Draw winner, LG Electronics Canada will conduct a random draw at 10:00 AM, on Monday, October 2, 2006 and on each subsequent Monday during the Contest Period, in Mississauga, Ontario. A total of 12 random draws will be made, with each weekly draw being made from all eligible entries received by 11:59 PM on the day prior to the draw. All Eligible Entrants, regardless of overall standing, are eligible to participate in the weekly random draw. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries received. LG Electronics Canada does not know how many entries it may receive.
The decision of LG Electronics Canada, in determining the winners of the Grand Prizes and the Weekly Random Draw prizes, shall be final.
Confirmation of Winner:
Each Eligible Entrant who has been selected as a winner for a prize will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone following the draw in the case of Weekly Random Draw winners, and after December 29, 2006, in the case of a Grand Prize. In the event an e-mail to a winning Entrant is returned as undeliverable or a response to an e-mail message and/or telephone message is not received by LG Electronics Canada within five (5) business days of sending or leaving the message, the prize may be forfeited and, at LG Electronics Canada's discretion, another Eligible Entrant may be randomly selected in accordance with the procedure described above.Prior to being declared a winner of a prize, the winning Entrant will be required to correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, to be administered by email.
In addition, potential winners may be required to sign and return to LG Electronics Canada, within ten (10) days of the date of issuance, a Declaration and Release form confirming, among other things, compliance with these Official Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded and a release of LG Electronics Canada and all its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, servants, sponsors, and advertising and promotional agencies from all liability in connection with the Contest and the prize. Potential winners may also be required to sign a release form, which may include, but is not limited to, a publicity release. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission to use the winner's name, city of residence, photograph, biographical information, voice, image and prize details in any and all forms of media for promotional purposes, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Failure to correctly answer the required skill-testing question, or failure to return the completed Declaration and Release form or publicity release, within the specified period will result in the disqualification of the selected Entrant and, at LG Electronics Canada's discretion, another Eligible Entrant may be selected as stated above. Following receipt of the required Declaration and Release form, the prize will be delivered at no cost to the confirmed winner at his/her Canadian address. The winner shall bear all risk of loss or damage to the prizes after they have been delivered to the winner. If the prize is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited and, at LG Electronics Canada's discretion, another Entrant may be selected as stated above.
The Prizes are not returnable, not transferable, and not redeemable for cash. Name and identification of the Winner in receipt of the Prize may be announced sixty (60) days after the Contest Closing Date at www.lg.ca website. LG Electronics Canada, Inc. reserves the right to substitute a Prize with one of equal or greater retail value.
Privacy and Use of Information:
By completing the entry form, you agree to: (a) LG Electronics Canada's use of all information (including any personally identifiable information) you may provide (your "Personal Information") for the purposes of administering this Contest and, unless otherwise specified, for market and consumer research purposes; (b) disclosure of your Personal Information to LG Electronics Canada's affiliated and associated companies and its advertising and promotional agencies; and (c) to the extent necessary, LG Electronics Canada's disclosure of your Personal Information to third parties for the purpose of administering the Contest and awarding prizes.Other than as stated above, LG Electronics Canada will not provide your Personal Information to any third party unless you have given consent through an opt-in check box during registration.
If you do not wish your Personal Information to be used for non-Contest purposes and would like your Personal Information removed from the Contest database at the conclusion of this Contest, you must send your request in writing to LG Hockey Havoc Game Contest, LG Electronics Canada, 550 Matheson Blvd East, Mississauga, Ontario, L4Z 4G3.
In addition, by completing the entry form you give permission for LG Electronics Canada to use and publish your name, photograph or likeness, and stated home province, for use in online, print, or any other medium, in connection with the Contest.
All information you provide is deemed to be correct, complete, and accurate. While LG Electronics Canada strives to protect your personal information, LG Electronics Canada cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted online. You are advised that conveying personal information online is done so at your own risk and you remain solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of passwords.

Conduct:
By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Contest Rules, which will be posted at the Contest Website throughout the Contest. You further agree to be bound by the decisions of LG Electronics Canada, which shall be final and binding in all respects. LG Electronics Canada reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, the Contest Web site, or any LG Electronics Canada Web site; (b) violating the Contest Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions, use, general rules and/or guidelines of any LG Electronics Canada property or service, or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any attempt by an Entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, LG Electronics Canada reserves the right to immediately terminate the user's account, if any, and seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.Limitation of Liability:
LG Electronics Canada and its directors, officers, employees, and agents assume no responsibility or liability of any kind or in any manner whatsoever, including without limitation: (1) for lost, late, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies, or any agreement and release documents; (2) for any computer, online, telephone, hardware, software or technical malfunctions that may occur;, (3) for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the Contest; (4) for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; (5) for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, e-mail, players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing; or (6) for any injury or damage to Entrants or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest.
If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of LG Electronics Canada or the Contest's sponsors and administrators, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, LG Electronics Canada, its sponsors and/or administrators reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
All entries become the property of LG Electronics Canada and will not be returned to Entrant. Multiple entries by the same person by any accepted method of entry including using one or more e-mail accounts will result in disqualification. No mechanically or electronically reproduced entries will be accepted. All entries must be submitted with a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search.
By entering, you release and hold harmless LG Electronics Canada and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize won.
Online Account Holder Information:
In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an online entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address, at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Selected Entrants may be requested to provide LG Electronics Canada with proof that they are the authorized account holder of an e-mail address associated with the winning entry.
